These parfaits are incredibly creamy and delicious, are you sure they are vegan?

Yes! People are surprised that our Chia Parfaits are vegan yet so delicious. We soak our chia seeds in coconut or soy milk.

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU?

We sell our chia at the Downtown Farmers Market in Salt Lake City located at the Pioneer Park - 350 West 300 South) during the summer every Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM. You can also find during the winter at the Winter Market every Saturday from 10a-2p located at the Rio Grande Depot - 450 West and 300 South. 

WHAT FLAVORS DO YOU CREATE?

The basic flavors we create are: 

Classic - Vanilla chia layered with strawberry puree (including dates and hemp-hearts) topped with fresh blueberries.

Matcha - Matcha chia layered with pureed peach and mango.

Decadence - Chocolate chia with a pureed strawberry layer.

Neopolitan - Just like the ice cream this parfait includes chocolate and vanilla chia and is layered with fresh strawberry puree and topped with fresh blueberries.

Chai - Delicious chai tea infused chia with fresh, crisp Fuji apples mixed in.

Pitaya - Our most beautiful parfait. This one is Pitaya chai laced with some lavender and mixed with berries such as blue, straw and rasp. 

WHAT THE HECK IS A CHIA?

Great question! The mighty chia seed is an edible seed rich in fiber, protein, vitamins A, B, E, and D, and minerals including sulphur, iron, iodine, magnesium, manganese, niacin, and thiamine. It is also the richest plant source of omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds are a complete protein, containing all nine essential amino acids that cannot be made by the body. When soaked in liquids like soy or coconut milk the chia seed absorbs up to 12 times it’s weight. And, of course, when spread across a terra-cotta head and watered - you have a chia pet!
